Chelsea Eyes Paulo Dybala as Roma Faces Struggles in Serie A
In the latest round of Serie A fixtures, AS Roma struggled to secure a win, settling for a draw against Atalanta. With only one victory in their last four games, Roma has slipped to eighth place in Serie A, intensifying the competition for a top-four finish.
Adding to Roma's concerns, reports suggest that Chelsea is showing interest in their key player, Paulo Dybala. Italian journalist Alessio Alaimo from TMW stated, "Chelsea has started efforts to sign Dybala, hoping to utilize the release clause in his contract for a winter transfer." Dybala's contract reportedly contains a release clause that allows foreign clubs to sign him for a fee of €12 million, a significantly lower amount than what Italian clubs would have to pay.
Dybala, who joined Roma on a free transfer, has included this clause to facilitate a move to a top club in the future. Chelsea, recognizing this opportunity, aims to secure Dybala's services in the winter transfer window for a bargain price of €12 million.
