Jalen Suggs has signed a 5-year, $150.5 million contract extension with the Orlando Magic
According to NBA insider Shams, Jalen Suggs has signed a 5-year, $150.5 million contract extension with the Orlando Magic.
The 22-year-old Suggs made a breakthrough in his third season, helping the Magic rank third in defensive efficiency last season. He became the third player in Magic history to be selected to the NBA All-Defensive Team, joining Dwight Howard and Horace Grant. Suggs' shooting has been improving, as he attempted 5.1 three-pointers per game last season, with a nearly 40% success rate, averaging 12.6 points and 1.4 steals in 27 minutes of play.
Suggs was selected 5th overall in the 2021 NBA Draft, and like Franz Wagner, he has secured a long-term deal with the Magic. Earlier this summer, Wagner signed a 5-year, $224 million contract extension.
